The Jade Neptune Elite Mermaid Tail is great for swimming, and looks so realistic in the water. I'm also very impressed with how it photographs. This is now my preferred fabric tail.
Like any fabric tail it's a bit noticeable on land that it is a costume, but still very pretty. Your heals also stand out a bit due to the monofin, and can ruin the illusion at some angles.
Overall, I love it.
I bought this tail right before the newer reviews started rolling in and was a little hestitant, but I'm glad I did! I also held off on reviewing until I had some more use for the tail.
It's high quality, thick, 4-way stretch neoprene. It performs well outside in natural conditions and in pool conditions. The colors are very bright in person with a reallly nice gradient between the blues and yellows. The fin shape is also very unique and moves really well in the water with good propulsion.
1 star removed for how tight the opening is to insert/remove the vinyl plate and fin, I've been very careful with it and it's stil starting to tear the slightest bit around the end of the zipper as the opening needs to be like 1-2inches larger for ease.
Overall very happy, easily comparable in quality to other high end tails on the market for a fraction of the price!
I love my tail so much! It’s so comfortable and looks so beautiful!! I’ve swam in it multiple times already and it’s held up great so far, and is fantastic to swim in. The monofin is very comfortable and has great propulsion.
