It’s a beautiful design with gems and pearls and the colors are stunning. My daughter adores it so much. Two reasons why it’s a 4-star rating vs 5 stars. One: the fabric pills very easily - after one use - so that was disappointing but the company does warn you in the included literature. Just be aware that virtually every child in this age range (my daughter is 9) will drag it enough to cause pilling immediately. Especially in a pool setting. Two: the foot holes in the monofin are a bit on the small side. I realize this is by design to an extent, and my daughter does have wider feet; however, it does concern me a little about ability to kick it off in a water emergency. Also, if your child has larger feet, it may be a bit of a process to get the monofin on. Regardless, I would purchase again and will likely get her the next size up for juniors/young adults next summer.
The monotone is necessary to swim like a mermaid, but the stitching in the outer skin needs to be reinforced. One day of use and I need to serge the side seam halfway up.
