I am 22 years old and bought a mermaid tail from here. I got the skin and the mono fin pro I do believe you should try swimming with just the fin first!!! there’s many warning, saying never use this without supervision. I believe this, even as an adult. It is absolutely so pretty amazing quality. The skin itself is a thin but thick, nice swimsuit material and the mono fin is absolutely perfect.
I got this as a replacement for my original Tidal Teal mermaid tail as it got a hole in it. It probably would have lasted longer but I wore it on the concrete splash pad too much. It got a hole after about a year. Have yet to swim in this one yet as it is winter. Very good quality though. Still have my original monofin that so far has lasted about 1.5 years without replacement. Rated the most safe tail for beginners. If you are not a confident swimmer start with just the monofin in the pool. If you need to take it off quickly in the water there is a quick release method.
